CHRISTMAS AT REDEMPTION HILL
Our focus this December is a time of remembering the birth of Jesus and looking forward to his return. As we live in between those moments, we receive the blessings of God - hope, peace, joy and love - by faith in the Son of God.
So go deeper this December and join us for Advent and Christmas Eve services.
Hope: December 1st, 10:00am
Peace: December 8th, 6:00pm
Joy: December 15th, 10:00am
Love: December 22nd: 10:00am
Jesus: Christmas Eve Candlelight service, 6:30pm
Services are held at the Gill Hall Volunteer Fire Company banquet hall at 1228 Gill Hall Road in Jefferson Hills. Redemption Hill is a church plant/start-up so we currently rent the fire hall to worship in, as well as an office in Pleasant Hills at 67 Old Clairton Road.
We sing a mix of traditional hymns and new songs. The second Sunday of each month is our 'Family Service.' During these services we celebrate the Lord's Supper and share lunch together, afterwards. Kids are included in the whole service (except 0-4 years old can stay in the nursery).
We care deeply about families and providing a safe and spiritually healthy place for children. We want to include children as much as possible in the life of the church, but do our best to teach them in an age-appropriate way.
Our nursery, for ages 0-4, is available for the entire service. Children 5-9 are included in the main worship service up to the sermon. At that point, they are dismissed to their own classes, where they are taught from the Bible at a level appropriate to them.
You can "check-in" your kids ahead of time if you're planning to visit on Sunday morning. You don't have to, but it does help us get ready for them beforehand.
Adults who minister to our children, whether in our nursery or our classrooms have their Pennsylvania-required clearances.
We have three life groups meeting this fall. These co-ed groups meet in people's homes for the purpose of building community and growing spiritually. Two groups meet on Sundays at 4pm to discuss the sermon, one in Bethel Park, and one in Pleasant Hills. A third group meets on Thursday nights to do Christianity Explored, a curriculum that studies who Jesus was and why He came. If you have questions about our life groups, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our vision is to see families renewed through the power of God's love, our local communities enriched, and men, women and children from every walk of life forgiven and united by faith in Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to make and mature disciples.
Redemption Hill Church is a new church of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The church is served by Pastor Peter Doerfler, a resident of Pleasant Hills, and all the members who call this church home.
